If you really want to enter into battle, start to intercede!

The enemy of our soul will do everything in his power to stop us from interceding for people.

Whatever scheme he needs to form, he will do his dead level best to make it happen…and to catch you off guard in the process.

Because God listens…he hears from heaven when we intercede for other people.

Whether you are praying for the missionary that God placed on your heart, the pastor, the leader, or simply praying and standing in the gap for your family and friends…you need to know that intercession makes a difference.

It pushes back the kingdom of darkness in ways that nothing else will.

Because when we intercede and pray for other people, we are literally putting their needs above our own.

We enter into battle IN THEIR PLACE!

Often, God will place someone on your heart to pray for, and you might not even know or realize the reason, but pray for them anyway.

You and I have no idea what battle they are facing at that very moment, or what battles lie ahead of them.

To intercede for others is to clear the path, and lower the enemy’s resistance in their life.

Intercession is selfless, and cannot be done through the desire to promote anything other than the GOOD of those we pray for.

I’m certain that there are those who can twist the act of interceding for their own purposes and glory, but for most believers, when we pray for someone, they might not ever know we did it.

Simply put, God loves it when we enter the battlefield to uphold someone else…HE HEARS our prayer in that moment.

And the more we open up our life to the voice of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit in intercession, the more that God will place people upon our heart and use our life to pray.

You never know how vast, and how impactful your prayers might be, so don’t give up the opportunity to be obedient to the Lord by missing your chance to pray for someone.

But just know, that when you step onto the battlefield for someone else, holding them up in prayer…you have placed yourself in the eyes of the enemy of your soul, and he will target you…doing his best to bring you down.

To remain battle ready, we must be infused with the Holy Spirit AND be refreshed by the presence of the Lord.

Prayer is our daily fight.
Fight IN prayer…and fight TO pray.

Don’t give up your prayer without a fight!

When you intercede on the behalf of those the Lord places on your heart, you are not just asking for God to bless them, you are taking THEIR PLACE in battle!

Where they may feel weak and be losing heart, you come alongside, through prayer, and pick up the spiritual sword and begin fighting with them and FOR them.

This is the essence of intercession…being a warrior for Christ on behalf of another.

If you’re going to be used by the Lord in this fashion, you cannot afford to grow weak or dreary in your own personal walk with Jesus.

The enemy of our soul has assassins assigned to take down those who would dare to fight for their friends, family, their government, their church family, and whomever the Lord places upon their heart to pray for.

Watch out and guard your spirit, guard your mind, protect your soul by keeping yourself close to the Holy Spirit.

As an intercessor, YOU need time with God to restore your soul.
It will take something from you to battle on behalf of other people…people who may never know you’re fighting for them.

You have to stay strong!

Watch out for your weak moments and weak areas…
For those times when you might be most susceptible to spiritual attack.

Ask the Lord to reveal to you how to overcome and stand strong in these times and areas.

As you intercede, you become a real threat to the enemy.
So guard yourself from attacks that could come from any direction.

Things like…
Wrong motives.
Outside problems.
Spiritual attack.

Scripture says…
2 Timothy 2:22 NKJV
[22] Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

You have to FLEE from areas of weakness and stay close to Jesus and listen for the voice of the Spirit of God.

With all my heart, I sense God calling people into the fight like no other time in history.

You might feel insignificant or unusable, but when you feel that way, just remember some of the people that Jesus worked in and through.

They all had problems.
The fact is…WE ALL have some areas that need to be fixed.

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 NKJV
[26] For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. [27] But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; [28] and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, [29] that no flesh should glory in His presence.

God is not after perfect people.

He desires people he can shape, and form into the warriors that he needs.

A listening ear and an open heart to God are two of the greatest qualifications you could ever have.

You need to know that God will use you to shine light and push back the darkness.

2 Corinthians 4:6 NKJV
[6] For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The darkness facing the world right now is thick.
The Lord needs people who will humble themselves and pray…seek his face…intercede for the lost and hurting and for those who cannot hold up their head in the battle.

Pastors and leaders are under attack…do you pray for them?

Authorities in the government are under pressure and attack…do you pray for them?

Our families, children, churches, and schools are under attack…do you pray for them?

It seems that people spend so much time nowadays criticizing and talking about what “they should do,” but we never find the time to pray for those on the front lines of battle.

Paul says…in 2 Corinthians 4:16…”we do not lose heart.”

Don’t lose your heart for the battle.
Don’t lose your heart for prayer.
Don’t lose your heart for the presence of God.

If you are a believer, this is your time to rise up into a calling that you may not have ever considered.

God is calling warriors for Christ into intercession NOW…are you ready to answer the call?

My heart is for the church that Jesus is building and returning for...the church that the gates of hell will not prevail against.
More than anything, the desire of my heart is to see the greatest revival of the Holy Spirit, salvations, spiritual awakening, and for the miraculous to come back to the church, preparing believers for the return of Jesus.
