I feel like the Lord wants me to encourage people with this post, and to say that the church, the people of God need to stay resilient before him.

We live in a moment of history where resilience is necessary.

And just to bring total clarity to what the word, resilient, means…here’s the definition:

©2020 Merriam-Webster Inc.

“capable of withstanding shock without permanent deformation or rupture.”
It also means:
“tending to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.”

What characterizes the people of God through the centuries is the word, resilience. We are people who bounce back.

We are people who experience the trauma, the hardship, the attack, the problem, the pain, the enemy onslaught, the negativity, the unrest…and we are resilient.

Situations that arise may shock us, and catch us off guard from time to time, but we confront the situation without rupturing.

It means, we are not defeated or deflated, so we have no real need to remain discouraged.
The God of the universe lives on the inside of you, if you believe in and serve Jesus.
He will not fail you or forsake you.
In fact, scripture literally says…

1 John 4:4 NKJV
[4] You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

The God living inside of you is GREATER!
Greater than your problems.
Greater than your disaster.
Greater than the troubles that war against your soul.

You don’t have to live in fear of tomorrow, but you have the ability to live in faith for today.

At no time has the Lord left you, and he won’t leave you. Instead, he is there…an ever present help in time of trouble and need.

So when we face hardships or trouble, we take it in stride, because the people of God are resilient…we are capable, through Jesus, of withstanding it.

But I love the second half of the definition as well…
“tending to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.”

Whenever the enemy throws misfortune our way, we WON’T STAY DOWN.

The church will recover!

The people of God WILL RISE!
We adjust easily to the challenges.

It doesn’t mean misfortune will not come our way, it simply means that in the face of it, we will overcome.

The Hebrews, in the book of Daniel, overcame…even when placed in the fire.
The king put them in the furnace, literally, but THEY CAME OUT. There wasn’t even a smell of smoke On Their Clothes!

Jesus stood with them in the fire. In fact, I believe his presence in their life was the key to their resilience. They experienced the fire, adjusted quickly, put on a heart of worship, and the Lord showed up.

How is it that you and I can be resilient in the face of the enemy’s lie and attack?
Because of the presence of the Lord!
Because worship invites the Lord alongside of us in the fire.

It opens the way for him to show up.
He will stand with you no matter how difficult the hour.

Now…we may face moments of trial and attack, battle, and hardship…and I believe it’s coming quicker than we really understand.
We must be ready.

But please remember, as long as Jesus is WITH YOU, as long as you stay in HIS PRESENCE…you will have the ability to adjust, to experience peace, to steady yourself and be prepared.

You are resilient, not because of your strength, but because Jesus lives in you.

Share some hope on your feed!

My heart is for the church that Jesus is building and returning for...the church that the gates of hell will not prevail against.
More than anything, the desire of my heart is to see the greatest revival of the Holy Spirit, salvations, spiritual awakening, and for the miraculous to come back to the church, preparing believers for the return of Jesus.
