The Lord continues to push messages into my heart like never before.
Messages, I believe, designed to prepare people for what is COMING.

We have to be ready.
We have to be strong.
We have to be prepared.
We have to be resilient, flexible, and stretchable.
We have to be HOLY.
We have to be repentant.
We have to be on fire for God, and filled up with the power of the Holy Spirit.

In another blog, we talked about two things:

  1. An open heaven that is coming.
  2. Interceding for the church and the people of God, which I will mention again in this post.

Let me use scripture to introduce the idea of this post…
The Bible says:
Proverbs 28:1 NKJV
[1] The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

I hear the Lord saying that, “NOW IS THE TIME for you to be righteous.
Now is the time for the church and the people of God to rise up in boldness like they never have.”

Don’t just stand idly by and watch as the world, and the nation, and your community, and your family suffer the hardships of sin, and judgement, and feel the effects of their choices and decisions…but rise up in boldness and TAKE BACK TERRITORY THAT BELONGS TO JESUS.

Where people are falling away, rise up with boldness and reach out to draw them back.
Where the nation seems to be swaying from the righteousness of God, rise up and seek the Lord to change our direction, heal our land, and restore his Spirit among us.
Where the church is facing obstacles, resistance, and is on the fringe of facing persecution…PRAY LIKE NEVER BEFORE FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD!

It’s not enough to pray on the sidelines…we have reached a point in history where BOLD LIONS OF GOD have to run into the battle, and pierce heaven with their roar!

We have to rise up without FEAR and in the midst of mounting condemnation of the church from multiple sources.

BOLD LIONS must start to declare the holiness of God, the miracle working power of God, and the strength of God.

This is not the time for weak, feeble, barely there Christianity.

Is Jesus about to return? YES.
IS the Church still supposed to be fighting for what’s right? YES.

We are commanded this in scripture.

Luke 19:11-13 NKJV
[11] Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. [12] Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. [13] So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’

We are to be about the Father’s business until Jesus comes.
The church cannot afford to stand by as the world makes decisions that are ungodly, and against the things that Jesus stands for.

Do we know that ultimately the world will make wrong choices? YES.
However, if there is a chance to turn things around, and turn people around, and reach our communities, families, and friends with the Gospel…we are supposed to be DOING THAT without fail and without interruption.

We have to make the STAND to live in righteousness and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We have to make the bold stand to hate evil and abhor wickedness.

Bold to not become tainted with the world.

Because the Bible says that we are IN the world but not OF IT.

John 15:18-19 NKJV
[18] “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. [19] If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

SO we are IN THIS WORLD, but we are not supposed to OF IT!

So it is time for righteous people of God to become BOLD AS LIONS!

Here are the thoughts God placed in my heart about this…

  1. Lions are hungry.

They are in constant search for FOOD.
Lions have an appetite that needs to be filled.

Real lions eat from 11-16 pounds OR MORE of food per day!

We need our appetite to be increased for the things of God, specifically the baptism and infilling of the Holy Spirit and His WORD.

The Bible says:

John 6:54-55 KJV
[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

We know that JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD, SO HE IS TELLING US TO feed on his word.

We are supposed to, drink his Spirit.

John 7:37-38 NKJV
[37] On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. [38] He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

We are supposed to…
Desire for the Spirit to do the works of revival in our meetings, and our communities.
TO have…
The FELLOWSHIP of other believers.

  1. Bold Lions protect their own.

If we are going to be bold lions for God, we must intercede for those we love.

It is not enough to pray the simple, small, little prayers when our situation dictates massive response.

I understand that we can pray to God about anything, but in the same way that we would move with QUICK, MASSIVE action to save our child from drowning, or from being hurt…
We have to ATTACK the enemy with prayer that shakes and rattles the heavens on behalf of the people we love.

We have to ATTACK the enemy in prayer constantly.

Acts 12:1-5 NKJV
[1] Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. [2] Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. [3] And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. [4] So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover. [5] Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

Constant prayer wears down the enemy’s strength and resources.

Remember we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies.

Ephesians 6:10-13 NKJV
[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. [11] Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Lions stand UP in the face of evil.
Lions refuse to back down to the press of what is coming against them.
Lions are bold and hostile towards the enemy that faces them.

We show mercy to people, but we are merciless to the enemy and we attack him in Spirit led, Spirit directed prayer.

[12] For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Often the enemy works through people, but people are not our enemy. We are to pray for the lost, the misguided, the hurting, the impoverished, those who have lost sight of their way.

This is our enemy…All these demon spirits that were mentioned.

Who are they?
PRINCIPALITIES – means chief or leader. So these are chief demons.
POWERS – a demon delegated with authority to take away our power of choice and the liberty to do as we please. (Addictions for one thing.)
They use any means of influence to CONTROL.

Specifically, Thayer’s definition mentions:
authority over mankind
the power of judicial decisions of authority to manage domestic affairs.

RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS AGE – The devil and his demons collectively.

SPIRITUAL HOSTS OF WICKEDNESS – Those demons that live in the air…literally…Scripture calls the devil the “prince of the power of the air” and these demons, by definition plot SIN, INIQUITY, DEPRAVITY, EVIL PURPOSES AND DESIRES.

So the Bible speaks to BOLD LIONS and says:

[13] Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

  1. Lions boldly assemble and form an army ready to fight.

We are called to assemble ALL THE MORE as we see the day of Christ’s return approaching.

Let me say that there are those who assemble in person, there are those that assemble online…and I’m not pitting one against the other.
If you attend church in person…praise God!
If you attend church as the online church family…praise God!

I shared an article the other day that said 1 in 3 have not returned to church since this pandemic started…this has to be reversed.

At the very least, those who assemble have to start considering the battle and the fight for righteousness, and the war on their loved ones, and the battle against the things of God and rise to boldness as a lion in the very face of what is in front of us.

It is not time for church as normal, we need church supernatural!

Now, let me finish with this…

This is the scripture passage the Lord directed me to.

Psalm 37:23-40 NKJV
[23] The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.

Capital “He.”

It means God delights in the way you’re going when you are following the steps he has ordered you to take.

[24] Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand.

You may feel like you’ve fallen down along the way, but you have to remember that YOU ARE WHERE YOU ARE are by the order and command of God!

He is your commanding officer, and where you are is where he wants you.

The Lord will not leave you behind when you fall down but will come to your rescue and help you stand like a BOLD LION in the face of the enemy!

[25] I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

God takes care of his lions!

Righteousness is not a claim that you can make on your own. Why? Because our righteousness comes from Jesus!

So when God sees the righteousness of Christ on your life, he will NEVER forget or forsake YOU!

[26] He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.

God the Lord, lends you what you need in your time of need and at the very least directs your steps toward the blessing of God that is FOR THOSE who continue to follow his lead.

[27] Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore. [28] For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. [29] The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever. [30] The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, And his tongue talks of justice.

[31] The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide.

[32] The wicked watches the righteous, And seeks to slay him. [33] The LORD will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged.

[34] Wait on the LORD, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. [35] I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree. [36] Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found. [37] Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace. [38] But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; The future of the wicked shall be cut off. [39] But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. [40] And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.

God needs you to STAND UP in your spirit and possibly with your mouth, NOW more than EVER.

Larry Shankle

My heart is for the church that Jesus is building and returning for...the church that the gates of hell will not prevail against.
More than anything, the desire of my heart is to see the greatest revival of the Holy Spirit, salvations, spiritual awakening, and for the miraculous to come back to the church, preparing believers for the return of Jesus.
