Right now is not the time to stop attending church. The return of Jesus is so, so close.
We need to be ready NOW more than ever!
As people drop off by droves and quit doing the things they’ve always done in regards to attending worship services, and being part of the body, now is the time to be together with our church family MORE, not less.
Many don’t understand or underestimate the importance of being at church, but when you attend church, you are making the decision to be with, fellowship with, pray for, and encourage the body of Christ!
Gathering at church is NOT just about you and what you can get out of it.
Instead, gathering with the church family is putting yourself in the middle of the body of Christ and choosing to place them above yourself.
Whether you attend in person, or online…just attend, be a part, give, worship, comment, fellowship, and pray, pray, pray.
Pray for your pastor.
Pray for your community.
Pray for your church family.
Pray for the lost in your area.
Fear may be real, and there are some that are terribly afraid of the Covid virus, among other threats, but God is much stronger than anything we could ever fear.
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV – For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
God is calling the church to rise in spite of their fears and anxieties.
How will we handle persecution if we cannot handle the CURRENT cultural climate and health scares?
Fear is a demon that will attack your soul and drag you down. God has given us POWER through his Holy Spirit OVER fear!
Luke 10:19 NKJV – Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Is the virus real? Does it affect all walks of life? Can it affect Jesus followers? Yes.
Should we spend our life in fear of the unknown possibilities and potentially harmful situations in life and let them rob our God given peace, security, and hope? NO.
If we can go to the grocery store, we can go to church.
If we can go on vacation, we can go to church.
If we can go get a coffee, we can go to church.
If we can do everything else, we can go and be part of the body of believers that we call our “church home.”
They need YOU!
Jesus needs YOU!
The enemy would like nothing better than to cripple the body of Christ through fear, and the inability to cope with the inconveniences facing us.
Here’s what scripture declares to us, and it’s just as relevant now as it has ever been…
Hebrews 10:23-25 NKJV – Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
It’s time for remnant prayer warriors to rise.
